Eden’s Holistic Veterinary Team understands a symptom is a signal of an imbalance in your pet’s health and the importance of finding the root cause.

Holistic treatment tends to be more gentle on animals by not utilizing surgery or drugs that could rapidly alter their chemical balances.

Meet the Team

Lori A. Miller, MS, DVM

Lori is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Animal Science. She continued her education at Louisiana State University with a Master’s degree in Animal Science focusing on Equine Reproductive Physiology and Endocrinology. She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University in 2001. Lori then moved to the Houston area to begin her career as an equine practitioner.

After three years in the field she opened her practice, All About Equine Veterinary Services, PC. She has worked both ambulatory and at a clinic in Waller, Texas since then except for two years when she did racetrack work in Louisiana. Lori is passionate about providing her patients with the best veterinary care possible. Knowing this, Candace Hoke introduced Lori to Young Living Essential Oils in 2006. Lori quickly began to incorporate them into her practice and into her lifestyle. After much success bringing the oils into her practice, many of her clients have incorporated the Young Living products into their personal lifestyles as well.

Lori is grateful to have partnered with the members of Eden’s Holistic Veterinary team to promote Holistic care for all our animals. In 2020 she joined the Healthy Smiles Pet Dental team and is excited about this new venture. Lori lives in Waller, Texas with her husband Jason and their four-legged children.

Isabel Jalon

Isabel graduated from Universidad Agraria del Ecuador in 1995 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and started her practice in Ecuador before moving to Texas. With her passion for animals and her understanding of the importance of Holistic care, combined with her knowledge of microbiology, she attended additional training in Chicago and was fascinated to learn the ability of a dark field microscope to show an early warning of disease processes. Seeing changes at this level can give insight into nutrition, level of exposure to chemicals, and quality of water to name a few. This knowledge gives the owner the ability to make changes before their pet exhibits declining health.

Judy Ray LVT, LSH, BCRTS-A

Judy is a 1993 graduate of the Lone Star College Veterinary Technician program. She gained ten years of emergency medicine experience, then transferred full-time to day practice. Judy also had 5 years of hospital management experience before her retirement in 2016. She has always leaned toward more of a Holistic approach and was fortunate enough to work for a few veterinarians that practiced Holistic with Western medicine. She became more involved with Holistic medicine after seeing results from getting to the core of the health issue instead of treating symptoms.

One of Judy’s passions is the Raindrop Technique. She acquired her certification in 2018 and is never disappointed in the results she witnesses after performing this technique on an animal. For her, one of the most rewarding benefits is seeing a rescue once deemed non-adoptable because of behavior, release the emotional baggage that labels them non-adoptable, changing, and going to a loving home.

Vicki Borchgardt

Vicki Borchgardt, pronounced like Humphrey Bogard, was born in Texas and has had the pleasure of traveling all over this great country showing horses since she was 5 years old. She started off by showing pony hunters and then trained and competed at the national level in Western all around, Hunters, Ranch sorting, and Speed events.

She started working in a vet clinic when she was in junior high and continued working at a large animal clinic while attending Sam Houston State University. She graduated with an Animal Science degree and a double minor in Biology and Business. She currently works for Dr. Angela Chenault at Equine Integrative Care in Waller, Texas. Their focus is Equine chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Dentals.
Together they own and operate Lazy B Ranch, which is an equine rehab center for equine athletes. They use several modalities including Bemer, Essential oils, herbs, Healy, RevitaVet Infrared lights, and Zyto biofeedback scans to bring them back to peak competition fitness.

Vicki was introduced to Iridology and other alternatives by her mentor and horse trainer in the early 1980s. She took several Iridology classes to learn more and uses it daily when working with new horses. Vicki believes in the value of both Eastern and Western medicine and enjoys sharing her knowledge.

Heather Brockman

Heather was inspired to start her mobile pet grooming company by her sweet cat Punky. She spent 17 years focusing on the ins and outs of her company then shifted her focus onto a new path, Reiki.  After becoming master certified, she decided to start incorporating both lines of work.  She loves being able to be the voice for animals who aren’t heard. Following her instincts and working with energy over the past few years has helped her grow not only as an individual but as a healer as well.

Dr. Angela Chenault

Angela Chenault is a 1995 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.  Immediately after graduating from veterinary school, she went to work for Dr. Andrew Currie, a renowned Houston equine veterinarian. In 2005, she left to form her own practice that she has enjoyed for many years.

In 2006, she started down the holistic pathway after experiencing the immediate benefits of acupuncture. After one session cured her of a long-standing shoulder problem, she signed up that day for the next acupuncture school sessions and became certified in 2008.  Quickly that led to Options for Animals chiropractic school after several acupuncturists remarked that they both went well together. Gradually she incorporated other pets into her practice and lately her passion has been preventative holistic medicine and food therapy being a big part of that.  She works currently with Vicki Borchgardt who came onto her practice team as “temporary” help during Covid year.

She is excited to join the Eden’s Holistic Veterinary team. She currently lives in Waller, TX with her son and many four-legged friends.
